Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

I found the recipe HERE and it was really good. My boys couldn't stop eating. The recipe uses the egg custard method to make a smoother and softer ice-cream. And they are asking me to make more LOL.
Here you can see my scoop of vanilla ice-cream sitting on top of my piece of banana cake and it has started melting away even as I was snapping the photo. It has really been hot these few days here.

Thanks for sharing the lovely recipe. As I am totally new to baking & all, shd I just freeze it for a few hours since I dont have an ice-cream maker?

Hi E
Do try ... I must tell you that it is good :-)

Hi joanna
You may want to leave it in the freezer for about an hour or so and then take it out and churn using your mixer till it thickens and do this for a couple of times till you see the mixture thickens considerably. After that you freeze the batch overnight. You still can get your ice-cream without the ice-cream maker :-) hth
